Whether you are trying to lose weight or not, popcorn is a healthy alternative to high fat high sugar snack foods. Making your own means you can control what goes in to it and also get a wider variety of flavours.

30g Popping corn
Microwavable cooking bag
Flavourings of your choice

1. Place 50g of popcorn in bag, fold over a few times to seal and place in microwave for 2 minutes (and no more).

2. Allow the popcorn to cool for a few moments before removing from the bag.

The healthiest option is to eat plain. However you can flavour in a few ways:
- Melt 20g of butter, add ½ tsp of cinnamon and mix well. Place popcorn in sealed container with 25g dried apple finely chopped or crushed shake and cover with butter mix and shake again.
- Sprinkle popcorn with ½  tsp cumin and ½ paprika, drizzle with 1 tsp of olive oil or oil spray and shake to coat.
- Drizzle with 2tsp of maple syrup and mix and shake to coat.
