Knee replacement surgery is usually necessary when the knee joint is worn or damaged to the extent that your mobility is reduced and you experience pain even while resting.
"Had a total knee replacement in September right leg and total knee replacement left leg in May 2018. The Horder Centre itself is in a lovely setting, spotless rooms, everyone friendly. Can’t praise the staff highly enough. I felt in very safe hands from the initial consultation through to the operation and aftercare. Thank you all so much, you have given me a new lease of life after suffering from arthritis for many years."
Hip replacement surgery is usually necessary when the hip joint is worn or damaged to the extent that your mobility is reduced and you experience pain even while resting.
"From the first consultation to discharge, I could not have been treated better. All staff whatever their position at the Hospital treated me with care and respect. I had a hip replacement in the morning and in the afternoon I was well enough to gently walk around my room with encouragement. Staff kept a close eye on my progress which improved daily. Exercises are a key part of recovery and they too were explained and demonstrated. I know I am one of the very lucky ones but you can't get any better than that. The Horder is an amazing place."
