Andrew Skyrme’s interests lie principally in lower limb surgery. Mr Skyrme specialises specifically in complex hip surgery including revision hip surgery and uncemented and cemented replacements. Mr Skyrme uses a variety of bearing surfaces including metallic surfaces, ceramic and also the more traditional metal on polyethylene (plastic). The principal types of hip replacement that Mr Skyrme uses include the Trident uncemented cup (Stryker), the Onifit uncemented Stryker stem, the Exeter stem and also the Birmingham resurfacing.
