Damian studied to be a fitness instructor at Exeter College. After passing this course Damian then continued his studies in London and completed a Diploma in Personal Training with Exercise Referrals at Life time training academy. He also completed various workshops here such as Group Exercise, Circuit Training, Exercise for Older Adults, Functional and Sport Specific Training and Exercise for Ante and Post Natal clients.
After this Damian then started his own business Go Active Fitness (www.goactivefitness.co.uk) and began training clients on a one-to-one and group basis in and around Tunbridge Wells. He then joined Horder Healthcare at the beginning of 2014 and is currently running various classes such as Fitness for the over 50s, Balance and Flexibility, Exercise for people with Arthritic conditions and Circuit training.
Exercise referral qualification allows him, with the consent of the patient's GP, to work with clients with the following conditions:
- Copd and Asthma
• Arthritis - Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis
• Lower back pain
• High blood pressure
• Mild to moderate mental health problems
Damian’s Exercise referral qualification also allows him to work specifically with post knee and hip surgery patients.
