James Howes

Chartered Physiotherapist

Having graduated from the University of Brighton in 2013, James attained his first full time physiotherapy post with East Sussex Healthcare Trust. He completed all of his core junior rotations at Eastbourne DGH. In 2015 James started specialising in MSK physiotherapy and then moved into a senior role within the outpatient physiotherapy department in Newhaven. Following that he established a number of rehabilitation classes across the trust including the ACL rehabilitation class, ESCAPE pain OA class, lower limb rehabilitation class and shoulder rehabilitation class. James has a keen interest in the management of neck and shoulder conditions as well as lower limb sports injuries.

Since 2017 he has also worked as the lead physiotherapist at Bede’s senior school, this role included assessment and treatment of pupils and staff including high level sports scholars. He has also been involved with the Legat School of Dance at Bede’s working closely with the dance instructors to return dancers to full fitness.
