Kirstin Mair graduated from University of Brighton in July 2016, starting her first job as a qualified Physiotherapist here at The Horder Centre in September. She also completed two six week placements with us whilst studying at university; one with inpatients and one with outpatients. Whilst at university Kirstin completed a course in Kinesiology Taping.
Since then Kirstin has been on a few different courses to aid her development as a physiotherapist such as:
- ESCAPE training for arthritis
- APPI Matwork level 1 (pilates)
- An evening lecture to discuss the management of neck pain
- Clinical educator training day
Since starting at The Horder Centre Kirstin has been sharing multiple classes such as the Arthritis Class, a post op class and also Pilates as well as treating patients on an individual basis.
Kirstin enjoys a wide range of sports such as football, swimming and tennis. She plays football for a Ladies team and provides physiotherapy for the team whilst at training and games. This is something Kirstin is interested in pursuing further (sports injury management).
