Having graduated from the University of Brighton in 2013, Nicola first started her physio career working at Medway Maritime Hospital in Kent. As a junior physiotherapist she gained experience working in Amputee Rehabilitation, ITU/respiratory on call, Acute Stroke Rehabilitation, Care of the Elderly, Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics.
Before joining The Horder Centre in 2018, Nicola has spent the last three years working for the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals based across Brighton, Hove and Haywards Heath as a Senior Physiotherapist. During this time she worked in outpatients dealing with musculoskeletal conditions and also helped lead the twice-weekly lower limb rehabilitation classes.
She then began to specialise in orthopaedics and gaining more in depth experience across both elective and trauma settings, most notably spending a year working with Major Trauma patients where she was featured on the television program “24 hours in A&E” rehabilitating one of her patients! She likes to combine her experience in the acute hospital setting with working in outpatients in order to help patients smoothly transition into leading a more active life.
