Toby qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2005 from Brighton University. After completing his core rotations he specialised in Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Before joining the Horder Centre Toby had previously worked in several local NHS Trusts. His current role as an Extended Scope Physiotherapist now involves running specialist spinal and knee clinics. He also continues to have his own physiotherapy caseload as well as performing online triage of GP referrals and being involved in ongoing service improvement processes.
Alongside his NHS work he additionally completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire in 2013. The qualification gained him membership to the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) and was invaluable to him developing his advanced clinical reasoning skills with managing all types of acute and chronic MSK conditions.
Toby also completed a further Extended Scope Practitioner module focusing on areas including imaging and bloods amongst other core subjects.
He has also previously run his own successful part time private practice in Eastbourne over a 5 year period. Additionally he is qualified in the use of Acupuncture for all MSK conditions.
