Horder Healthcare has welcomed the first NHS patient to its newly refurbished centre in the former Seaford Day Hospital.
Mr Leonard Vincent, of Chyngton, Seaford, was given a Horder Healthcare sports bag containing items such as a pedometer and water bottle along with a fruit bowl for being the first person through the doors of Horder Healthcare Seaford that will provide orthopaedic and musculoskeletal services to the community.
The new centre, in Sutton Road, has opened with the launch of specialist affordable physiotherapy and clinically led classes. It also offers post operative physiotherapy for NHS patients that have had surgery at The Horder Centre. Additional services, including orthopaedic consultant appointments for NHS and private patients, are to be confirmed soon.
Early, late night and Saturday appointments are available and the centre is currently offering free 15 minute consultations for physiotherapy advice. Affordably priced, initial appointments cost £40 and follow up appointments just £30.
Initial classes that will be held at the centre will be Modified Pilates, Classical Pilates, Fitness for the Over 50s and Balance and flexibility. Class times and more information about the latest services can be found at horderhealthcare.co.uk
Karen East, Marketing and Business Development Manager for Horder Healthcare, said: “We are really delighted to open in Seaford and welcome our first patients. The centre gives local people affordable physiotherapy from a renowned orthopaedic centre and we will be announcing more services for both NHS and private patients very soon.”
