Volunteering at Horder Healthcare

Volunteers enrich the quality of patient care at Horder Healthcare

We are very proud of our volunteer team. They are invaluable to our organisation and are involved in many aspects of the services we provide.

Photo of Di ThomasDiane Thomas, our Chief Executive says: “We value all of our volunteers and we are appreciative of the time and effort they donate to us.

"We are very grateful to them for taking time out of their days to make a difference to our patients and staff. We always welcome new volunteers as they are essential to delivering the standard of care we pride ourselves on.”

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, make new friends and develop new skills. We are always looking for new volunteers to join our team and you could be just the person we are looking for!

As a charity we are proud of our warm and caring environment and as such we like our volunteers to be:

• People orientated
• Enjoy social interaction
• Enjoy working as a team

We have created a volunteer framework where volunteers are fully supported by the Manager of the department they are volunteering in and by our Volunteer Services Coordinator, who is the initial contact for volunteers and who meets with volunteers on a regular basis.

There are no qualifications required and any necessary training will be given. We will ask you to attend an informal interview. You can be 16 to volunteer with us and must have a Disclosure Barring Service check (DBS).

If you are interested in volunteering please contact us at volunteers@horder.co.uk.
