Dr Richard Tyler (Chief Executive Officer)

Richard Tyler joined Horder Healthcare as Chief Executive Officer in November 2016. Richard’s previous post was as CEO of Queen Victoria Hospital, (QVH) East Grinstead, where he achieved an “Outstanding” rating for patient care as part of the 2016 CQC inspection. Richard has over 25 years of healthcare experience in a wide variety of settings, the last ten of which have been at board level. Richard lives locally with his wife Rachael and is a keen fisherman.

Alison Green (Associate Director, Corporate Affairs)

Alison Green joined Horder Healthcare as PA to the Chief Executive in 2001. She has since undertaken a number of non-clinical roles, including HR Manager and Information Manager, before her current position as Associate Director, Corporate Affairs. Alison has played key roles in the development of the organisation from The Horder Centre to Horder Healthcare, together with the acquisition of The McIndoe Centre in 2015.  Alison lives locally, is a keen gardener and enjoys a wide variety of live entertainment events. 

Emma Cansdale (Associate Director of HR and Talent)

Emma Cansdale joined Horder Healthcare as Head of HR and Estates in February 2018. Emma has over 20 years of broad HR experience across a wide range of industries, including financial services and manufacturing. This wealth of knowledge culminated in Emma being promoted to Associate Director of HR and Talent in July 2019. Emma currently lives in Brighton, and in her spare time enjoys overseas adventures and spending time with family and friends.

Elin Richardson (Hospital Director for The McIndoe Centre)

Elin Richardson joined Horder Healthcare in January 2018 as Head of Business and Commercial Development. Elin graduated from the NHS Management Training Scheme in 2000, and spent a further 18 years in various management roles in the NHS including general management, service improvement and business development. Elin is currently Hospital Director for The McIndoe Centre and also responsible for sales, marketing, contracting and business intelligence for Horder Healthcare. Elin enjoys running and walking, usually to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief, and spending time with family

Paul Gable (Hospital Director for The Horder Centre)

Paul Gable joined Horder Healthcare in June 2021 as Hospital Director for The Horder Centre.  Paul qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1996 and worked clinically for a number of years, achieving a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He then worked in a variety of operational management roles within the NHS. In his current position, Paul has responsibility for coastal MSK services and for corporate support services across Horder Healthcare.  Paul lives locally and enjoys being outdoors with a camera and spending time with his family. 

James Clark (Chief Financial and Commercial Officer)

James Clark joined Horder Healthcare in June 2021 as Chief Financial and Commercial Officer. James is a Chartered Accountant and has worked in a variety of organisations within the healthcare sector including HCA, Aspen Healthcare and Cornwall Care. Outside of work James is a sports enthusiast, who now spends most of his time chasing after his children.
